The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the CTET examination on Saturday, December 14, 2024. If necessary, the exam may also take place on December 15 for additional candidates.

The exam will consist of two papers and will be held in two shifts. The first shift runs from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second shift is from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Paper II will be in the morning shift, and Paper I will be in the evening shift.

To qualify as a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII), candidates must take both papers. The question paper will be available in Hindi and English.

Reporting Time:

Candidates must report to the examination center two hours before each paper. This means arriving by 7:30 AM for Paper II (Morning) and 12:30 PM for Paper I (Evening).

Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the exam hall once the exam has started.

Structure of Exam:

According to the official information bulletin, all questions in the CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question has four options, with one correct answer.

Each question carries one mark, and there is no negative marking. In total, there will be 150 MCQs, amounting to 150 marks.

Admit Card Released:

The CBSE CTET admit card was released on December 12, 2024. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official CBSE CTET website at ctet.nic.in.

To download the admit card, candidates can follow these steps:

  • Visit the official CBSE CTET website at ctet.nic.in.
  • Click on the CTET Admit Card 2024 link on the home page.
  • A new page will open where candidates must enter their login details.

  • Check the admit card and download it.
  • Keep a hard copy for future reference.
