IIT Kanpur announced that 579 students received job offers on the first day of placements, showcasing the strong demand for its graduates from top companies and international firms.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur shared in a press release that 579 students got job offers on the first day of campus placements.
Out of these, 523 students received offers through campus placements and Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). Among them, 199 students accepted their PPOs.
So far, 13 students have also been offered international job positions. This reflects the global interest in IIT Kanpur graduates.
On the first day, 74 well-known companies participated in the placement drive. Major recruiters included Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Databricks, Google, American Express, SLB, and Deutsche Bank.
These companies recognized the high quality of talent at IIT Kanpur, as stated in the official announcement from the institute.
Prof. Manindra Agrawal, the Director of IIT Kanpur, noted that the number of offers from leading firms, including international jobs, shows the global recognition of the institute’s academic excellence and the skills of its students.
Prof. Raju Kumar Gupta, Chairperson of the Students’ Placement Office, expressed pride in the students’ achievements and congratulated those who were selected on the first day. He also mentioned that IIT Kanpur aims to keep this success going throughout the placement season.
