Meghalaya Police has canceled the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for several posts immediately. Candidates who took part in the PET can find the official announcement on the Meghalaya Police website at megpolice.gov.in.

The cancellation is due to technical issues that occurred during the PET held from November 18. These issues were reported at the 1st MLP Bn. in Mawiong and the 4th MLP Bn. in Sohpian.

Revised dates for the PET have been released for all candidates, including those who participated in the November 2024 PET. The new test dates are set from December 13 to December 20 at the 3rd MLP Bn. in Sahbsein, Jowai.

Additional sessions will take place from January 6 to January 11, 2025, at the 5th MLP Bn. in Samanda, Williamnagar, and the 4th MLP Bn. in Sohpian, Nongstoin. Another round is scheduled from January 13 to January 15 at the 1st MLP Bn. in Mawiong, Shillong, and the 2nd MLP Bn. in Goeragre, Tura.

Admit cards for the PET will be available starting December 6 for candidates at the 3rd MLP Bn. in Sahbsein, Jowai. For other centers, admit cards can be downloaded from December 16.

Candidates must check their details before downloading the admit cards. There will be an option to edit or correct information online prior to generating the admit card. If candidates wish to change their PET date, they need to submit a request to the Member Secretary of the Central Recruitment Board before the PET starts.

Those who pass the PET will be eligible for the written exam and interview. The PET is scored out of 100 marks.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 2,968 positions, including Sub-Inspectors and Constables. The registration period ran from April 1 to April 30, 2024.
