The SSB aims to fill 2,030 Sepoy/Constable vacancies in the Odisha Police through this recruitment exam. Initially, there were 1,360 vacancies announced, but this number was later increased by 720.
The application deadline for this recruitment has been extended twice. The original deadline was October 13. It was first pushed to October 30 due to the puja vacation and then extended again to November 15 after a directive from the Odisha High Court.
There was also a correction window for application forms available from November 17 to 20, allowing candidates to make necessary changes.
The selection process for the Constable/Sepoy positions includes four stages: a Computer-Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE), Physical Standards Measurement, a Physical Efficiency Test, a Driving Test, and a Medical Examination.
The computer-based exam will last for two hours. Candidates will need to answer 100 objective-type questions, each carrying one mark. However, there will be negative marking; for each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
