The Basic Education Department of Uttar Pradesh has begun the online application process for pre-primary admissions in private schools. This is part of the Right to Education (RTE) Act. Parents can fill out the forms at rte25.upsdc.gov.in. A direct link is provided below for convenience.

The application deadline for the first round is set for December 19. After this, the forms will be checked at the district level from December 20 to 23.

A lottery will take place on December 24 to select candidates, and the merit list will be published on December 27. The admissions for the 2025-26 school year will occur in four rounds. Here’s the schedule for the second, third, and fourth rounds:

According to the RTE Act of 2009, 25% of seats in pre-primary classes of private schools are reserved for children from disadvantaged groups. This initiative helps ensure that children from weaker sections can access quality education.

The department has announced that classes for students admitted under the RTE Act will start on April 1, 2024, in line with the academic calendar.

How to Apply for UP RTE Admission 2024?

  1. Visit the official website, rte25.upsdc.gov.in.
  2. Download the schedule and instructions, then read them carefully.
  3. Click on the login tab on the right side of the website.
  4. Register by entering your details: district, area, town/block, gram panchayat/ward, candidate’s name, mobile number, date of birth, gender, class, category, and certificate number.
  5. Upload the necessary documents in the required format and size.
  6. Enter the five-digit code shown in the box provided.
  7. Review your details and click the ‘register’ button.
  8. After registration, log in to your account and complete the application form.
  9. If needed, upload documents or pay the application fee.
  10. Finally, submit your form and save a copy of the confirmation page.
