The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to release the notification for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) exam for 2025 next week. You can find this information on their official website, upsc.gov.in.

According to the tentative schedule, the notification will be available on December 11. After that, candidates can apply until December 31. The exam is scheduled for April 13, 2025.

This timeline also applies to the Combined Defence Services (CDS 1) exam for 2025. However, since these dates are tentative, candidates should wait for the official announcement for confirmation.

The UPSC conducts the NDA and NA entrance exams two times a year. The second exam for 2025 is expected to take place in September.

The selection process consists of a written exam followed by an interview round known as the SSB test. Candidates are chosen for the SSB based on their written test scores.

The written exam includes two papers, each lasting 150 minutes. The subjects are Mathematics, worth 300 marks, and the General Ability Test, worth 600 marks.

The SSB interview has two phases and is worth 900 marks. Only candidates who pass the first phase can proceed to the second phase.

For those applying to the Air Force course, passing the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) is also necessary.

In the written exam, there is a penalty of 0.33 marks for each incorrect answer in the objective-type questions.
